Second Saturday Swing

Since 1990 Grand Traditions has been supporting vintage dance in the Ann Arbor community by offering lessons and providing social dance events. Second Saturday was a natural extension of this, and has been growing in popularity.

JAZdance became a part of Second Saturday in September of 2008. Jesse and Zach have taught swing lessons, organized music, and helped Second Saturday become a place for dancers of all ages and skill levels.

Second Saturday starts with a one hour swing class. This class is designed to be enjoyable for dancers of all skill levels, including those who have no prior experience. Following the class is the social dance. Music comes from a variety of DJs, including JAZDance's own Vicar of Vinyl, playing music off of vintage vinyl.
